This Right of Withdrawal page explains how consumers may cancel an online purchase made from the Quantum BT online store within the legal withdrawal period, subject to applicable exceptions.

If you are a consumer purchasing online, you generally have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days without giving any reason. This right applies in addition to your statutory rights for defective or non-conforming products.

2. Who has the right of withdrawal?

The right of withdrawal generally applies to consumers who purchase goods online, by distance contract or outside business premises.

A consumer is usually a natural person who buys products for purposes outside their trade, business, craft or profession. If you purchase as a business, company, reseller or professional buyer, consumer withdrawal rights may not apply unless mandatory law provides otherwise or we agree separately in writing.

3. Withdrawal period

You have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days without giving any reason, unless a legal exception applies.

For goods, the withdrawal period generally starts on the day on which you, or a third party indicated by you other than the carrier, physically receive the goods.

If you ordered several goods in one order and they are delivered separately, the withdrawal period generally starts on the day you receive the last item or the last package.

If you ordered goods consisting of multiple lots or pieces, the withdrawal period generally starts on the day you receive the last lot or piece.

4. How to exercise your right of withdrawal

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us of your decision to withdraw from the contract by a clear statement before the withdrawal period expires.

Your withdrawal statement should clearly identify the order and your decision to withdraw. You may use the model withdrawal form provided below, but using the form is not mandatory.

5. Information to include

To help us process your withdrawal request efficiently, please include:

  • Your full name;
  • Your order number;
  • Your email address and contact details;
  • The product or products you wish to withdraw from;
  • The date you received the product;
  • A clear statement that you wish to withdraw from the contract.

You do not have to provide a reason for withdrawal.

6. Effects of withdrawal

If you withdraw from the contract, we will reimburse payments received from you for the returned goods in accordance with applicable law, including the standard delivery cost where required.

Additional delivery costs resulting from your choice of a delivery method more expensive than the standard delivery option offered by us may not be refunded.

We will usually make the refund using the same payment method that you used for the original transaction, unless another method is agreed or required by law.

7. Return of goods

After notifying us of your withdrawal, you must send the goods back without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the day on which you informed us of your decision to withdraw, unless we have agreed otherwise.

Please contact us before returning the goods so that we can provide the correct return instructions and return address. Products sent without sufficient identification may take longer to process.

8. Return shipping costs

You may be responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods, unless we have agreed otherwise or applicable law provides otherwise.

If the return is due to an incorrect item, damaged delivery or a confirmed defective product, the matter may be handled under our Returns & Refunds Policy or Warranty Policy instead of a standard withdrawal return.

9. Condition of returned goods

You may inspect and test the goods only as necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning, similar to what would be permitted in a physical store.

If the goods are used more than necessary, damaged, incomplete or returned with missing accessories, manuals, cables, packaging or other parts, you may be responsible for any reduction in value, where permitted by law.

10. Computer hardware handling

Computer hardware may be sensitive to physical handling, static electricity, installation damage and compatibility issues. When returning graphics cards, processors, memory modules, SSDs, motherboards, power supplies, desktop PCs or similar products, please handle and package the items carefully.

Returned hardware should include all accessories, manuals, cables, brackets, adapters, screws and original protective materials where applicable. Serial number labels, warranty labels and product identification labels should remain intact.

Products damaged by improper installation, liquid damage, burnt components, unauthorized modification, physical damage or customer-caused misuse may not be treated as simple withdrawal returns and may be subject to inspection.

11. Refund timing

We will process refunds in accordance with applicable law. We may withhold the refund until we have received the returned goods or until you have provided evidence that you have sent the goods back, where permitted by law.

After a refund is processed, it may take additional time before the amount appears in your account depending on Stripe, your bank, card issuer or payment provider.

12. Exceptions to the right of withdrawal

The right of withdrawal may not apply to certain goods or services where legal exceptions apply. Depending on the circumstances, this may include:

  • Products made to your specifications or clearly personalized;
  • Sealed goods that are not suitable for return for health or hygiene reasons once unsealed;
  • Sealed audio, video or software products that have been unsealed after delivery;
  • Digital content not supplied on a tangible medium where performance has begun with your prior consent and where the legal conditions for loss of withdrawal rights are met;
  • Services that have been fully performed with your prior express consent where applicable legal conditions are met;
  • Goods which, after delivery, are inseparably mixed with other items by their nature;
  • Products damaged due to improper installation, misuse, unauthorized modification or customer-caused damage.

This list is not exhaustive and the applicable legal exceptions will be assessed according to the product, order and circumstances.

13. Defective or incorrect products

The right of withdrawal is separate from your rights if a product is defective, damaged, incorrect, not as described or not in conformity with the contract.

If your product is defective or incorrect, please contact us as soon as possible. The matter may be handled under our Returns & Refunds Policy or Warranty Policy, and you may have rights to repair, replacement, price reduction or refund under applicable law.
