Warranty Policy
Last updated: 1 June 2026
This Warranty Policy explains how warranty claims, defective products, legal guarantee rights and manufacturer warranties are handled for products purchased from the Quantum BT online store.
This policy applies in addition to your mandatory consumer rights under applicable European Union and national consumer protection laws. Nothing in this Warranty Policy limits any rights you may have under mandatory law.

2. Scope of this Warranty Policy
This Warranty Policy applies to products purchased from the Quantum BT online store, including computer hardware, components, desktop PCs, gaming hardware, storage devices, memory modules, processors, graphics cards, motherboards and related technology products.
Warranty handling may vary depending on the product type, manufacturer, brand, serial number, product condition, date of purchase and the nature of the reported issue.
3. Legal guarantee and commercial warranty
Consumers purchasing goods in the European Union have mandatory legal guarantee rights when products are defective, not as described or not in conformity with the contract.
The legal guarantee is your statutory right against the seller. It exists independently of any manufacturer warranty or commercial warranty that may be provided with the product.
A commercial manufacturer warranty is an additional voluntary warranty offered by the manufacturer or brand. Its duration, coverage and claim procedure may vary by manufacturer and product. A commercial warranty does not replace or reduce your mandatory legal rights against the seller.
4. Legal guarantee period
For consumer purchases in the European Union, products are generally covered by a minimum 2-year legal guarantee of conformity, unless applicable national law provides longer protection.
The legal guarantee period usually starts from the date the product is delivered to you. Please keep your invoice, order confirmation and delivery documents, as they may be required for warranty and legal guarantee claims.
5. What is covered?
A product may be covered under the legal guarantee if it is defective, does not match the description, is not fit for its usual purpose, does not have the expected quality or performance, or is otherwise not in conformity with the contract.
Depending on the case and applicable law, you may be entitled to one or more of the following remedies:
- Repair of the product;
- Replacement of the product;
- Price reduction;
- Refund, where applicable conditions are met.
The appropriate remedy may depend on the nature of the defect, product type, availability of spare parts or replacement stock, cost, proportionality and applicable consumer protection rules.
6. Manufacturer warranty
Many computer hardware products may include a manufacturer warranty. Manufacturer warranty terms may vary by product category, brand, model, region and serial number.
Manufacturer warranties may require inspection, serial number verification, troubleshooting, repair procedure, replacement approval or direct handling by an authorized service center.
If a manufacturer warranty applies, we may assist you with information or guidance where possible. In some cases, the manufacturer may require the customer to contact the authorized service provider directly.
7. How to submit a warranty claim
To submit a warranty or defective product claim, please contact us by email before sending the product back.
Please include:
- Your order number;
- Your full name and contact details;
- Product name and model;
- Serial number, where available;
- A clear description of the issue;
- When the issue started;
- Photos or videos showing the issue, where helpful;
- Error messages, diagnostic results or test information, where applicable;
- Information about the system configuration, if the issue relates to computer hardware compatibility or performance.
Please do not send products back without contacting us first. Products sent without sufficient information may take longer to process.
8. Warranty inspection process
After receiving your warranty request, we may ask for additional information, troubleshooting steps, photos, videos or diagnostic results. This helps us determine whether the issue may be related to a product fault, installation problem, compatibility issue, software issue, driver issue or external cause.
If the product needs to be inspected physically, we will provide return instructions. Once received, the product may be inspected by us, the supplier, the manufacturer or an authorized service center.
Warranty assessment may take time depending on the product type, issue complexity, manufacturer procedure, service center availability and shipping times.
9. Computer hardware diagnostics
For computer hardware, diagnosis may require testing the product in a compatible system, checking power requirements, motherboard compatibility, BIOS or firmware version, driver version, operating system, temperature, physical condition and other components.
For example:
- A graphics card issue may require testing power supply capacity, PCIe slot, drivers, display outputs and temperatures;
- A processor issue may require checking motherboard socket support, BIOS compatibility, cooling and installation condition;
- Memory issues may require compatibility testing, slot testing, XMP or EXPO profile checks and memory diagnostics;
- SSD issues may require firmware checks, health status review, connection testing and operating system recognition tests;
- Desktop PC issues may require full system diagnostics.
10. What is not usually covered?
Warranty or legal guarantee coverage may not apply where the issue is caused by circumstances outside normal product conformity or product defect rules. This may include:
- Physical damage caused after delivery;
- Damage caused by improper installation or handling;
- Liquid damage, corrosion, burnt components or electrical damage caused by external factors;
- Damage caused by unsuitable power supply, power surge or unstable electricity;
- Unauthorized repair, modification, disassembly or tampering;
- Removed, damaged or altered serial number labels or warranty labels;
- Use outside manufacturer specifications;
- Overclocking, mining, excessive load or abnormal use where it causes damage and is not covered by the manufacturer;
- Incompatible components, drivers, BIOS, firmware or software environment;
- Normal wear and tear, cosmetic marks or minor appearance changes that do not affect functionality;
- Consumable parts or accessories with limited service life, unless defective under applicable law;
- Damage caused during return shipping due to inadequate packaging.
Each case will be assessed individually. This section does not limit your mandatory legal rights where the product is defective or not in conformity with the contract.
11. Packaging for warranty returns
If a product must be returned for warranty inspection, it should be securely packed to prevent transport damage.
For computer hardware, please use anti-static packaging where applicable and include all required accessories only if requested. If the issue relates to a complete desktop PC or bundle, we may ask you to return the full system or specific parts depending on the case.
Please remove personal data from storage devices where possible before sending them for service. If data removal is not possible, please inform us before shipment. Warranty service may involve testing, repair, replacement or data loss risk.
12. Data stored on devices
For products that may contain data, such as SSDs, HDDs, desktop PCs or other storage devices, you are responsible for backing up and removing personal data before sending the product for warranty inspection or service, where possible.
Quantum BT is not responsible for loss of data, software, files, settings or installed applications during inspection, repair, replacement or manufacturer service, except where liability cannot be excluded under applicable law.
13. Repair, replacement, price reduction or refund
If the warranty or legal guarantee claim is accepted, the appropriate solution may include repair, replacement, price reduction or refund in accordance with applicable law.
Repair or replacement may be preferred where it is possible and proportionate. If repair or replacement is impossible, unavailable, not completed within a reasonable time or causes significant inconvenience, you may be entitled to a price reduction or refund under applicable rules.
Replacement products may be new or equivalent where permitted by law and manufacturer warranty terms. Any solution will be assessed according to the product, defect, availability and applicable legal requirements.
14. Time needed for warranty handling
Warranty handling times may vary depending on the product type, issue, supplier, manufacturer, service center and shipping route.
We aim to handle warranty cases within a reasonable time. If additional time is required due to manufacturer assessment, spare parts, replacement availability or technical inspection, we will update you where possible.
15. Shipping costs for warranty claims
Shipping cost responsibility may depend on the type of claim, reason for return, inspection result and applicable law.
If the product is confirmed to be defective or not in conformity with the contract, reasonable shipping costs may be covered or reimbursed where required by law or approved by us.
If no defect is found, the issue is caused by customer damage, improper installation, incompatible components or other non-covered causes, you may be responsible for return shipping, inspection or service-related costs where permitted by law and communicated to you.
16. No fault found
If inspection shows that the product is functioning normally and no defect is found, we may return the product to you. In such cases, we may provide the inspection result or relevant information where available.
If the issue is caused by compatibility, software, driver, BIOS, installation, external component or user environment factors, it may not qualify as a product defect.
17. Used, refurbished or open-box products
If used, refurbished or open-box products are sold, warranty terms may vary depending on the product condition, description, applicable law and any specific information provided at the time of purchase.
Any reduction in warranty or special condition will be communicated where required by law and will not limit mandatory consumer rights.
18. Business purchases
If you purchase as a business customer, company or professional buyer, consumer legal guarantee rules may not apply in the same way as for consumer purchases, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
Business warranty handling may depend on the product, manufacturer warranty, supplier terms and any written agreement between the parties.
19. Relationship with other policies
This Warranty Policy should be read together with our Terms and Conditions, Returns & Refunds Policy, Right of Withdrawal, Delivery Information and Privacy Policy.
The right of withdrawal is separate from warranty rights. A product may be returned under withdrawal rules within the applicable withdrawal period, while defective products may be handled under legal guarantee or warranty rules.
